Job Summary

As an Equipment Specialist for our Equipment & System Validation team at the Laval location, you will be supporting the division and other areas of the company by managing the equipment to be used on studies.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Execute and schedule the verification, calibration, and maintenance of equipment;
  • Support the management of requests for equipment or supplies for studies with minimal supervision and control the entry and exit of material from the depot and perform basic maintenance and monitoring of the equipment;
  • Report any problem or potential problems in the conduct of daily activities to the Supervisor or delegate;
  • Offer service to the employees for the equipment used in the vivarium and/or laboratories;
  • Assist in the training of technical staff.
Key Elements

We are looking for the followingminimum qualifications for this role:

  • High School;
  • At least 1-2 years of working experience in a laboratory as an Analyst or a Technician;
  • Able to take initiative and solve problems autonomously;
  • Able to work physically occasionally (lift up to 20kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).

Role Specific Information:

  • Location: 445 Boul. Armand-Frappier, Laval, QC, H7V 4B3;
  • Transportation: Free parking. Near the Montmorency Subway. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Salary: $23/hrs;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime. Depending on the business needs, you may have to do overtime;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
