As a member of the restaurant operations management team, you will be responsible for the restaurant’s overall operations, including food quality, production, hospitality, safety, and labor in the absence of the General Manager.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced restaurant professional to join our busy and fast-paced restaurant kitchen. You will be responsible for ensuring that the food quality, safety, and service standards are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Train Staff: Oversee the training and management of kitchen staff.
  • Supervise Food Preparation: Ensure food is prepared and cooked to proper standards, and ensure proper presentation.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor and control food inventory and costs, order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain and Ensure high standards of hygiene and sanitation in the restaurant.
  • Problem Solving: Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen efficiently.
Requirements
  • Experience: Strong, stable work history with management experience (Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head Chef) in a high-volume, casual dining or family-style restaurant.
  • Experience in kitchen management: 1 year (required).
  • Relevant experience: 3 years (preferred).
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of production cooking techniques.
    • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and cash handling.
  • Experience in scheduling and managing labor.
  • Able to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Required hours 50 to 55 weekly
  • Education: High school or equivalent (preferred).
  • Availability: Must be available for day shifts, evening shifts, morning shifts, and weekends.
