Overview

Kinesiologist - Lifemark Keefer Place, Downtown Vancouver, BC. Lifemark is Canada’s largest physiotherapy company, dedicated to enriching the health of Canadians through movement. While physiotherapy remains a core service, Kinesiology is integral in promoting clients’ healing and improving recovery time. This role supports the philosophy that when you move better, you feel better. We are seeking a Kinesiologist who shares this approach. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform ergonomic assessments, POETs, work hardening, and facilitation of FCEs. This position provides opportunities to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians and exposure to complex occupational rehab cases. Responsibilities

• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
• Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

Qualifications

• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
• Previous experience working with PCMP and RTW program is considered an asset
• Registration with the appropriate Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required
