Overview

As a Junior or Intermediate Civil/Water Resources Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on small to large scale water resources civil engineering projects from concept through construction and commissioning. You will expand your academic training and professional practice by working alongside senior engineers and senior environmental scientists on water resources and civil engineering projects in western Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a variety of projects such as surface water hydrology; numerical flow modeling; river engineering; dams and hydraulic structures; mine water and storm water management systems; geohazard assessment and repair; ditch and culvert design; erosion protection design; flood protection works; and dam-safety related assignments.
  • Broaden professional practice by working in other engineering disciplines while maintaining a focus on hydrotechnical engineering.
  • Develop project management skills by working with experienced and skilled senior project managers on sustainable projects.
  • Be involved in all stages of a project, from concept to completion, including: undertaking the design; preparing design reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Work throughout western Canada with potential opportunities to travel internationally.
  • Work in a dynamic company culture with a diverse, hands-on, small, and hard-working office team that supports career development and diversification.
Qualifications

If you are registered or are eligible to register as an Engineer-In-Training or a Professional Engineer in Canada, have a Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering and a minimum of 2 years work experience in the civil and water resources market sectors, we want to hear from you!
