About the Role

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the maintenance and repair of vehicles, landscape equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, trimmers), and snow removal equipment (e.g., snowblowers, plows). Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, landscape equipment, and snow removal machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Inspect equipment for wear and tear, ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Support the team during peak seasons, including snow removal operations in winter.
Requirements
  • Completion of a mechanic apprenticeship program or relevant training (e.g., automotive or small engine repair).
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle systems, small engines, and mechanical tools.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including winter.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Previous experience with landscape or snow removal equipment is a plus but not required.
