Overview

Junior Family Law Associate Lawyer (downtown Toronto)

Our client is a bustling boutique Family Law firm located in downtown Toronto. They are seeking a dynamic and driven professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in family law to join their team.

Your new role
  • Oversee files from inception to completion, with guidance and mentoring as needed.
  • Draft various legal documents such as pleadings, financial statements, affidavits, conference briefs, and facta.
  • Prepare and conduct discoveries, argue motions, attend conferences, and assist with trials.
  • Research and analyze case law and statutes.
  • Proficiency in legal software, including Divorcemate and Clio, is essential.
  • Provide mentorship to junior associates and maintain communication with clients and other legal professionals.
  • Assist the senior partner in managing and overseeing her caseload.
What you will need to succeed
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a family law lawyer.
  • Excellent drafting skills and a passion for all aspects of busy family law litigation.
  • Problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently manage your own caseload in addition to team collaboration.
