About the Role
As an Infrastructure Engineer I at Quickplay, you will be primarily focused on supporting the design, development, and deployment of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will play a crucial part in containerizing microservices, managing Kubernetes clusters, and ensuring our systems are secure and efficient. This hands-on role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cloud infrastructure within the OTT video domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins X, Maven, and Git-based workflows to support Quickplay’s microservices deployments.
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform, contributing to infrastructure-as-code practices and scalable cloud environments.
- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to Kubernetes environments, supporting reliable and repeatable deployments.
- Create and maintain Dockerfiles, Helm charts, and Kubernetes YAML configurations to support automation and platform consistency.
- Support the operation and improvement of Kubernetes clusters and Rancher, helping maintain production-ready container platforms.
- Participate in security and vulnerability scanning of container images and infrastructure, ensuring secure development practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and system reliability.
- Write automation scripts and lightweight backend tooling using Golang, Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to support platform adoption and team efficiency.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical infrastructure solutions.

Technical Expertise and Background
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or software engineering roles.
- Practical coding experience in Golang, Java, Python, or similar, with interest in automation and platform development.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes concepts and environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
- Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
