How You Will Contribute:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient integration, delivery, and deployment.
  • Collaborate across development, QA, and operations teams to enhance workflows and automation.
  • Optimize infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for tools, systems, and processes.
  • Build reporting infrastructure to provide insights into system performance and operational metrics.
  • Stay curious about industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
The Must Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps roles.
  • Proficiency in modern DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
  • Experience in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
  • Ability to integrate multiple third‑party tools into cohesive solutions.
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with Yocto Project for custom Linux distributions.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes for large‑scale container orchestration.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices to embed security in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Tekton tools for advanced automation and monitoring.
  • Experience with Zabbix for performance management of infrastructure and applications.
  • Understanding of the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence) for project management and collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.
Pay Range:

The annual pay range for this position is $71,100.00 - $114.900.00 CAD.

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non‑Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
