Overview
The Junior Architectural Technologist supports project teams in the development of building information models, construction documents, and contract administration under the guidance of a Project Architect or Senior Technologist. This role involves assisting with consultant coordination, performing quality assurance checks, preparing tender documents, and contributing to 3D model creation and site reviews.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential. A valid Class 5 driver\'s license and the ability to travel within the province are required. Candidates must be eligible for Reliability security clearance and willing to complete OH&S training.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a Project Architect or Senior Technologist.
- Develop building information models and construction documents using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist with the coordination of engineering consultants.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of own work and edit and correct the building information model as required.
- Assist in the preparation of contract documents for tender.
- Assist project designers in the creation and development of 3D models.
- Examine drawings for conformity and error.
- Assisting with on-site reviews.
- Assist with Contract Administration duties.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements. Prepare site reports

Qualifications
- Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of construction detailing and drawing interpretation.
- Proficiency in architectural design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
