SUMMARY :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to support the smooth functioning of our boutique professional services organization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial and accounting tasks. This position requires excellence in both verbal and written communication in English and Korean (preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Perform general daily accounting functions and bookkeeping using QuickBooks. Tasks include generating the daily bank report, posting account transactions, and journal entries.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Assist in payroll administration for both employees and contractors, including all year-end requirements.
  • Support in conducting Fiscal Year End Audits by providing necessary documentation and assistance.
  • Complete various other accounting-related tasks as needed.
  • Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and accounts receivable / payable balances.
  • Recording daily revenue recognition entries in the journal.
  • Manage government filings including HST, EHT, WSIB, payroll remittances, and T4 forms.
Qualifications
  • Experience in QuickBooks Online
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and team player
  • Flexibility to assist with various tasks within the accounting environment
  • Ability to self-manage and take initiative
  • Bilingual English / Korean is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
