Responsibilities

  • Managing a crew of 10 to 15.

Overview

A breathing air trailer technician manager is needed to operate, oversee, maintain, and monitor breathing air equipment at remote job sites. This is a field-based role requiring travel throughout Alberta. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, dependable, and committed to working in a high-safety environment.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a crew of 10 to 15
  • Set up and operate breathing air trailers and related safety equipment on job sites
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of breathing air systems
  • Conduct daily logs and equipment checks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
  • Work closely with site supervisors and safety personnel to ensure proper usage and response protocols
  • Assist with confined space entries and be prepared for rescue situations as required
  • Adhere to all company and client safety standards, including participation in tailgate meetings and hazard assessments
Requirements
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract preferred)
  • Must have the following valid safety certifications:
    H2S Alive
    Standard First Aid & CPR
    Confined Space Entry & Monitor
    Confined Space Rescue
  • Previous experience with breathing air trailers or related field equipment is an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Willingness to work in remote locations and in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
