A leading building solutions company in Alberta seeks a Network Administrator II to support IT operations across multiple plants. Responsibilities include network maintenance, user support, and collaboration with plant management. The Network Administrator II supports all functional areas of the organization in alignment with the plant business objectives. Under direct supervision, this position assists with routine IT operations, problem resolution of computing and/or communications functions and ensuring the cyber security of information systems. This role is to ensure the stable operation of the computer networks. This includes assisting in planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication lines. This role will also analyze and resolve end‑user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end‑user training where required. Serves as the primary help desk contact for the plant responsible for computer hardware/software, including inventory and replacement. They generally will work out of the Wheatland plant. This position will provide both remote support and on‑site support as required for Surrey, Port Kells, Winnipeg, Aldergrove (IBP), and Edmonton (IBP) plants. The incumbent will build relationships with plant management and the direct Regional IT Lead as their supervisor. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between Corporate IT and manufacturing facilities and will ensure that plant IT initiatives align with USG IT standards and priorities. The unique combination of skills associated with this position as well as on‑the‑job training will provide for growth and potential advancement within the IT organization.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
