Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in Winnipeg is seeking an Intermediate / Junior Civil Engineer to manage projects and supervise junior engineers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, 5 years of relevant experience, and strong project management skills. Responsibilities include project administration, planning report preparation, and client coordination. A self-motivated approach and excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering, including design, management, and construction supervision.
  • Experience in completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology.
  • Self-motivated with good leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects, contract administration and design engineering.
  • Coordination, supervision, mentoring of junior engineers.
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications.

Overview

Position: INTERMEDIATE / JUNIOR CIVIL ENGINEER

The successful candidate will use their technical and management skills to deliver various water conveyance and other infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
  • Registration with EGM as an Engineer (P.Eng., or E.I.T.),
  • 5 years (+/-) experience in engineering, including design, management, construction supervision, and project management. Preferably for water resource related projects.
  • Experience in completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology, and using hydraulic modelling software is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering,
  • Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists,
  • Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents,
  • Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties,
  • Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
