Job Description

To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our teams located in any of our offices in Alberta, Ontario and Atlantic provinces.

As part of our dynamic and growing Process and Energy Electrical Group, you will work on a variety of assigned medium and large sized projects including gas compression, gas processing facilities, emerging energy transition projects. Your responsibilities can include anything from design basis, equipment selection, detailed design and field implementation at an intermediate level.

What you can expect to do here
  • Champion WSP Project procedures across all projects.
  • Execute the design and delivery of complex electrical engineering projects.
  • Create innovative concepts for execution.
  • Drive planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.
  • Review and stamp drawings, ensuring compliance with design codes.
  • Define and establish project scopes.
  • Navigate scope change requests and evaluate trends.
  • Master computer simulation programs and engineering spreadsheets.
  • Mentor and oversee design engineering staff.
  • Collaborate with various disciplines to manage cost and schedule impacts.
What you'll bring to WSP
  • University Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Current P.Eng. P.L. ENG, ING. designation in province of residence
  • At least 5+ years of relevant post‑graduate electrical engineering experience in an EPCM environment ideally in the energy industry
  • Oil and Gas project experience desired
  • Previous experience in engineering consulting environment
  • Experience with power simulation software such as ETAP, SKM and EASYPOWER
Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $98,800 – $130,800

MB & ONb> $90,100 – $124,100

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $89,200 – $118,500
