Job Overview

Southeastern Telecommunication Services is hiring an experienced Integrated Systems Technician to join our growing team in Kingston.

This is a hands on field based role supporting commercial clients with the installation and service of business communications, integrated security systems, and network infrastructure.

Applicants must be located in the Kingston, Ontario area or willing to relocate. This position is not remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support cloud hosted and on premise VoIP phone systems
• Deploy and troubleshoot SIP phones, voicemail, paging, and call routing
• Install and service integrated access control systems (door hardware, strikes, credential readers)
• Install and configure video surveillance systems, including IP and cloud managed cameras
• Support intercom and entry solutions such as Butterfly MX and similar platforms
• Run, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber an asset)
• Configure and troubleshoot PoE switches, routers, WiFi access points, and connected devices
• Complete onsite installations, service calls, commissioning, and preventive maintenance
• Provide professional customer support and accurate job documentation

Required Qualifications

• 3 plus years experience in one or more of the following:
• VoIP and telecommunications
• Access control and video surveillance
• Networking and low voltage infrastructure
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Comfortable working independently at client sites
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
• Physically able to perform installation work (ladders, lifting equipment)

Assets (Nice to Have)

• Experience with cloud managed security platforms such as Verkada, Butterfly MX, or similar solutions
• Networking knowledge including IP addressing, VLANs, and SIP troubleshooting
• Industry certifications or prior field technician experience
• Familiarity with paging, WiFi deployments, or audio visual systems
