A First Nation governed post-secondary institution in Creighton, Canada, is seeking a candidate to deliver courses in employment readiness, skill development, and other areas. The role requires post secondary certification and related work experience, alongside competencies in effective communication and teamwork. This position is considered safety sensitive, requiring compliance with the Alcohol and Substances policy.
Established in 1976, the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post‑secondary institution. Recognized under provincial legislation, the Institute has been conferred authority to grant certificates and diplomas. SIIT welcomes over 2400 students into our urban and community programs annually as well as serving over 6000 clients through our eight Career Centres across the province. Post secondary certification with related work experience in the trades or mining industry. An understanding of adult learning theories and principles is considered an asset. Knowledge of a First Nations language or culture, experience teaching Aboriginal Adults and knowledge of the trades or mining industry in the area would be considered assets. First Aid and CPR certification considered an asset.
