Job description
POSITION SUMMARY

Strike is currently looking for a Field Coating Coordinator. The role will be to oversee and coordinate coating crews on site both internal to Strike and Subcontractor’s, as well as interface with other trades.

PROJECT DETAILS
  • Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station
  • Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project)
  • Shift: 14 Days on/7 Days off
  • Travel pay: $400/shift
  • Camp retention: $25/day
POSITION DETAILS
  • Employee Hourly Rate: $55.00
  • Independent Service Provider Hourly Rate: $70.37
  • Hourly Truck Rate: $13.50
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Coordinate and oversee field coating activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on surface preparation and coating application.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of coating work.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including inspection reports, daily logs, and non-conformance records.
  • Support troubleshooting and provide technical guidance on coating-related issues.
  • Ensure all work adheres to environmental and safety standards.
  • Lead a team of 8-12 persons and have proven experience leading such Team’s
  • Completing jobs in a timely manner meeting set deadlines
  • Coordinate with onsite client representatives
  • Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment
Safety Tickets Required
  • CSTS 2020 or Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  • Bear or Wildlife Awareness course
  • Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED (St. John Ambulance or Canadian Red Cross) or WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) Training Certificate
  • Fall Protection Training
  • Arial Work Platform Training
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of directly related work experience operating various types of equipment and coating systems both above and below grade
  • NACE Level 2with 3+ years of QA experience
  • High School Diploma required
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license is required
  • Knowledgeable in conventional and airless spray applications
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Experience with trouble shooting issues in the field
  • Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
  • MS Excel and Word experience is preferred
