Could you be the full-time Industrial Data Management Specialist in Kingston, ON we’re looking for?

You'll play a key role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are optimized, our products are market-ready, and our industrial requirements align with project Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, EHS and Quality).

We'll look to you for:
  • Ensure part number availability and related documentation from PLM to ERP (SAP) aiming to place manufacturing and/or purchase orders for delivering Customer on due time
  • Ensure that the industrial Master Data are well implemented in the different systems (PLM, ERP, MES)
  • Support the implementation of new IT/ERP systems and their updates
  • Act as Key User for SAP (PP, AOS, WM), PLM
  • Support and train end users
  • Manage technical data for all part involved in project execution to ensure all these parts are available in project PLM (MBOM) and ERP (SAP) with relevant properties at expected date to launch manufacturing and purchase order
  • Collect, update & crosscheck information between Project teams and Products team to define and secure exact scope of part tobe used by Project (Part Number, Revision, Type, Owner, Origin, ...)
  • Perform all action/request in Alstom Database dedicated to BOM management to ensure part code availability in project ERP (SAP) division(subscription, modification, creation request, …)
  • Act as a Key User (KU) for different tools including SAP, PLM, Orchestra, Maximo, MyField
  • Support the deployment of SAP PP, AOS and WM at Alstom site
  • Support technical issues on site specefically for SAP PP, AOS, WM
  • Work closely with the regional and global business process experts and act as the local point of contact
  • Deploy tools and processes inlign with Alstom regional and global D&IS guidelines and framework
  • Launch/follow any necessary action with other metier in project team: industrial, supply chain, procurement, engineering, quality to enrich data in ERP (SAP)division for manufacturing and purchase order
  • Ensure data consistency between the different IT systems: CLAMP, PLM, ERP (SAP)
  • Make sure that part number are managed through Signalling standards (Component On Specification, Common Codification rules, productstandard code usage, ...)
  • Ensure testing and validation of new features
  • Support and train end-users on SAP
  • Capture, analyze, and resolve incidents and defects
  • Ensure the application of processes and the proper use of tools
  • Manage the impacts of engineering and process changes in the systems
  • Set-up effectivity for application of the changes
  • Deliver on due time industrial files and data to suppliers
  • Apply CLAMP, PLM and ERP standard processes
  • Support technical change on PLM and ERP (SAP)
  • Ensure accuracy of BOMs

  • Degree in engineering or industrial is preferred or other related filed in operations, supply chain
  • 5 to 8 years experience in Operations, Industrial or Supply Chain department, on electronics, electrical or mechanical devices
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Key User or business user with the use of ERP such as SAP in supply chain, industrial, and manufacturing
  • Experience in BOM creation/update/enrichment with dedicated database/tools ERP (SAP), PLM (Enovia, Teamcenter)
  • Experience in configuration management, routings and assembly instructions
  • Knowledge of Engineering design, Industrialization and Manufacturing
  • Excellent technical problem solving
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Proficiency in ERP tools (e.g. SAP) for Bill of Materials, routings, and configuration follow-up
  • Understanding of Quality, EHS standards, and operations management
  • Knowledge of project management, production management and process
  • Desirable: Familiarity with railway industry practices and signaling products
