Your Impact

This key position on Samuel Automation’s Controls team is responsible for creating electrical drawings and panel layouts in accordance with customer requirements and external (CSA, ESA, OSHA, etc.), company and department standards and policies. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

This key position on Samuel Automation’s Controls team is responsible for creating electrical drawings and panel layouts in accordance with customer requirements and external (CSA, ESA, OSHA, etc.), company and department standards and policies. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company health and safety policies
• Communicate with engineering to understand sequence of operation
• Determine design requirements from quotes and customer specifications
• Create electrical drawings, panel layouts, and engraved panels using AutoCAD Electrical to required standards
• Create electrical bill of materials for purchasing
• Assist technicians with wiring panels and machinery when required
• Arrange for inspections as needed
• Update AutoCAD Electrical drawings to reflect as-built changes
• Ensure complete and accurate final drawings are available
• Perform all duties in a timely manner within an ISO 9001 environment

Physical Requirements
