Job summary

A multi-service agency located in Ontario is seeking a Children's Services Worker for a full-time contract position. The role requires providing protective and preventative services under provincial law, managing adoption and children's services, and participating in court matters. Candidates should possess a four-year degree in relevant fields, have experience in child welfare, and ideally possess skills in assessment and cultural competency. Qualifications

  • Minimum one year and up to three years experience in child welfare preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario's Child, Youth and Family Services Act.
  • Understanding of social casework principles related to service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide protective and preventative services mandated under the Child Youth and Family Services Act.
  • Assume case management responsibility for adoption and children’s services.
  • Participate in Ontario Court of Justice matters related to child protection.
