Overview

Hydraulic Cylinder Technician (Heavy Equipment Shop)

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: Shop: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Requirements:

• Personal Reliable Vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Valid Driver’s License

Pre-employment:

• Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
• Fitness to Work Assessment

Hydraulic Cylinder Technician Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Millwright or Journeyperson Mechanic, may be considered a transferable skill

• Machining experience required is an asset
• Hydraulic experience required
• Minimum 2-years’ experience working on a Cylinder Bench – Disassembling, Inspecting, Honing, Repairing and Re-Assembling Hydraulic Cylinders
• All aspects of working on hydraulic cylinder and accumulators
• Ability to read outside and inside micrometers and bore gauges
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED
