What will I be learning?

• Maintain focus on tenant satisfaction and energy conservation
• Troubleshoot all aspects of HVAC in high-rise apartment buildings including condensing modulating boilers and variable-speed drives
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
• Provide consistent monitoring of automation systems
• Willingness and ability to learn how to monitor and fine-tune buildings through our automation systems
• Oversee HVAC-related mechanical projects
• Maintain HVAC logs as required
• Regularly update knowledge and skills through employer-sponsored educational programs
• Comply with all safety code requirements

What are the requirements?

• Enrolled in or completed Gas Technician 3 license is required
• Basic understanding of HVAC troubleshooting skills is an asset
• Basic understanding of HVAC automation systems is an asset
• Interest in growing skills in refrigeration, preventative maintenance, remote monitoring, decarbonization, and energy management
• Efficient time management with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in-person, over the phone and via e-mail
