Expected Salary: $57,508 to $71,885

To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:
  • Support professional employees located throughout Canada.
  • Coach and support management in areas of leadership development, performance and talent management, change management, employee engagement, human resources and communication.
  • Work in collaboration with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to keep the business informed on all recruitment activities as well as thinking outcomes through developing strategies to address recruitment challenges.
  • Provide support to the Talent Acquisition area as needed such as during Co‑op recruitments.
  • Participate in the design, review, development and delivery of programs and processes such as orientation, onboarding, performance management, engagement, and annual leadership and skills development review.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous process improvement of the HR team and Business Unit by influencing human resources strategies, policies and methods.
  • Complete compensation assessments for new hires and internal employee changes.
  • Draft internal Change of Terms letters.
  • Conduct low risk investigations with curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
  • A diploma/degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
  • CHRP/CPHR professional designation is an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in HR.
  • Experience working in the Marine or Aviation Industry, or military is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting the creation, development, and/or implementation of HR business solutions for a wide range of customers.
  • Experience in supporting end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a variety of customers via all means of communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to produce quality results in a timely manner.
  • You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
