Headquartered in Kanata, Ontario, BWXT Medical Ltd. employs over 300 highly-skilled people in Kanata and Vancouver, British Columbia. BWXT Medical Ltd. is part of the BWXT nuclear power segment (NPG) of BWX Technologies, Inc.

BWXT Medical is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator (6-Month Contract) at our production facility in Kanata, ON.

Location: 447 March Road, Kanata, ON (Hybrid role)

Responsibilities
  • Point person for internal and external HR-related inquiries and requests, providing assistance or redirecting questions as required.
  • Assists with coordinating, preparing and implementing HR programs.
  • Analyzes workforce data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvements in HR practices and processes.
  • Coordinate training sessions and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide general HR support to managers and employees.
Required Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, written and oral.
  • Customer focus with excellent attention to detail.
  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in leveraging data to inform decision-making.
  • Passion for employee engagement, organizational development, and diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a Human Resources Program or related program in business.
  • CHRP Designation is a plus.
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000.00 and $90,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
