The primary purpose of the HR Administrator role is to provide administrative support to the Brampton facility. Duties include performing a wide variety of administrative duties that will support several areas within the facility.

Your Role in Unpacking Possibilities
  • Abides by all of Amcor’s Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Properly uses all personal protective equipment.
  • Abides by all of Amcor’s Quality policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for processing payroll close procedures on bi-weekly basis, monitoring and maintains accurate information in Kronos system and processing benefit reimbursements through batch entries in payroll.
  • Coordinates employee relations tasks and events, such as outings, luncheons and gift cards, recognition items. Leads employee activities committee.
  • Conducts orientation for new co-workers regarding company policies and procedures, benefit programs and plant rules. Responsible for completing all required documentation per company procedures or government regulations.
  • Administers company benefits and works with corporate benefit area to resolve any benefit concerns. Assists co-workers with new hire benefit enrollment and major life changes.
  • Provides reports of hours/wages for weekly reports and month‑end accruals and completes HR monthly statistics reporting by end of 2nd workday.
  • Communicates policy and benefit changes on a timely basis.
  • Maintains plant training records and facilitates plant compliance with training requirements.
  • Perform administrative duties including telephone, personnel and contractor visits, mail and courier shipments, and general and confidential correspondence.
  • Manage office equipment including telephone system, photocopier/fax machines, office supplies, stationery and lunchroom supplies for both office and plant personnel requirements.
  • Research scanned and parked AP invoices, determine and process correction or recommend correction to appropriate persons, update records as needed.
  • Review HST compliance with sales and purchase invoicing.
  • Create and review purchase orders and other tasks related to purchasing; research customer return documentation; assist Controller with audit of employee expense reports, create check requests, deposit miscellaneous checks.
  • Monitor and control pensioners’ benefit checks.
  • Review and audit freight and shuttling bills, post to correct accounts (Pre‑SAP files), review and research freight billings/freight recovery including outstanding freight accruals, correct and journal as needed.
  • Verify and reconcile all P‑card costs if applicable; create and enter journal entries to journal costs.
  • Assist HR Manager and Plant Controller with accounting and other administrative matters and special projects.

What We Want From You
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED. Certificate/diploma from a post‑secondary institution is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in administrative/bookkeeping experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills that include working experience with Microsoft Office, Kronos, and SAP.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic multi‑tasking work environment.
  • Ability to interact professionally with co‑workers, customers and suppliers.
  • Must be organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess and demonstrate all the necessary skills required for the position.
