Overview

We are hiring for an hourly full-time supervisory position at the Donald Gordon Hotel and Conference Center with Aramark Canada.

The Housekeeping Supervisor duties include managing and training staff to maintain cleanliness and safety standards, overseeing daily operations and work assignments, inspecting areas to ensure quality, managing inventory of supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and handling guest feedback to ensure a positive experience. They are responsible for the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel and will play a key role in team motivation and department efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision & Training: Hire, train, and coach housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
  • Work Assignment & Coordination: Assign daily tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure rooms are prepared and ready for guests.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect cleaned guest rooms, common areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and orderliness meet established standards.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce health and safety standards and protocols for the department and its staff.
  • Maintenance & Reporting: Report and follow up on maintenance issues in rooms and surrounding areas.
  • Customer Service: Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping services, gather feedback, and suggest improvements to staff.
  • Administrative Duties: Prepare reports and submit timesheets.
  • Team Leadership: Motivate staff, resolve conflicts, and maintain open lines of communication within the department.
