Overview

A Host is responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient experience for customers as they enter the venue. This role involves managing the flow of guests, assisting with seating arrangements, and ensuring the host stand and dining area are organized and ready for service. Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.20 CAD and is tip eligible.

This is a seasonal role from approximately June 1, 2025- October 15, 2025.

EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining host stand area, ensuring organization and cleanliness at all times
  • Possess a working knowledge of the venue (location, direction, events, policies etc.)
  • Effectively manage guest flow to maximize seating capacity
  • Know all table numbers and maintain awareness of which servers are in each section
  • Communicate with Managers and FOH staff during events to maintain proper guest flow throughout the venue
  • Assist management and FOH staff in all necessary preparations and set up for events
  • Manage the guest waitlist
  • Escort guests to their table
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service position
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, restaurant experience
  • Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays, evenings and weekends
  • Able to legally work in Canada
