Job description
What You’ll Do

As a key boardroom ambassador, you will be involved in a wide variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Providing guests with excellent, professional and prompt service
  • Ability to serve both daily catering and onsite events independently at a high level with some supervision
  • Assisting the team with event coordination and execution as needed
  • Ordering daily catering for onsite meetings in the Client Centre
  • Completing last minute requests with efficiency
  • Maintaining an ongoing knowledge of dietary restrictions
  • Ensuring that all meetings and requests in the Meeting Room Booking System are monitored and fulfilled on a constant basis
  • Cover reception duties as required
  • Setting up and tear down of all catering requirements, ensuring meeting rooms are set up and prepared according to standard
  • Maintaining general tidiness of all meeting rooms and hallways in the Client Centre
  • Assisting with stocking beverage fridges with inventory to ensure readiness
  • Assisting with stocking of supplies to all kitchens, boardrooms and serveries, when required
  • Maintaining the organization of the department storage areas, including assisting and conducting department inventory when required
  • Supporting the cleaning schedule for all kitchens and equipment
  • Washing and polishing of dishes, silverware, glassware and cater ware
What You Bring

Your history includes catering and events experience in a hospitality or professional services environment. You have a strong understanding of food cuisines and different types of food & beverage service, including fine dining. Bartending or Mixology experience would be an asset. You have exceptional client services skills and thrive on setting a high benchmark for a “five-star” experience. You remain calm and professional when multi-tasking or dealing with a high volume of work, demonstrating your “can-do” attitude. You enjoy troubleshooting and resolving problems. You embrace evolving technology and have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and enjoy learning new software programs. You are able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time and are able to lift 15-20 pounds on a regular basis. You are flexible to work overtime or on short notice for special events. Serving It Right and Food Handlers certified is considered an asset.

Salary range : $42,000 - $48,000 annually
