Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Certificate from a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Program required.
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check and others as conditions of employment.

Skills

Knowledge of Automated Dispensing Cabinet Distribution processes

Knowledge of information systems technology and software

Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software

Knowledge of medical terminology

Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated competency in pharmaceutical calculations

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

High-degree of fine motor hand dexterity

Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships

Education

Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba Standards

Graduate of a recognized pharmacy assistant program

Current enrollment in CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician program
