Qualifications

• Must be awake during all assigned shifts.
• Clear criminal background check.
• Must have a Class 5 Driver’s Licence, own vehicle, and valid auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engaging conversation.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Remind clients about medications and appointments.
• Escort clients to appointments and errands.
• Support clients with Alzheimer's and dementia.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week

Your Role as a Caregiver

As a Caregiver, your responsibilities may vary based on client needs, your experience, and personality. These could include:

• Companionship and engaging conversation
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Escorting clients to appointments and errands
• Supporting clients with Alzheimer's and dementia
• Personal care and hygiene assistance
• Palliative care
• Mobility support

Requirements

• Must be awake during all assigned shifts
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Clear criminal background check
• OFA First Aid Level 1 - Required
• Food Safe Level 1 - Required
• WHMIS Certification - Required
• Must have a Class 5 Driver’s Licence, own vehicle, and valid auto insurance
