Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in Health and Safety in Construction/Manufacturing preferred.
  • Understanding of Alberta Labour Code and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Advanced First Aid Certification is an asset.

  • Conduct new employee site orientations and training.
  • Ensure compliance through engagement with employees.
  • Manage WCB claims and inventory tracking.

Overview

SRI Homes - Regent is located near the Lethbridge airport and has been building homes since the 1960s. SRI combines quality with affordability to supply its customers with a quality built home at an affordable price.

Safety Coordinator
Responsibilities
  • Administrative oversight, development and implementation of Health and Safety programs
  • New Employee Site orientations, training & onboarding
  • Engaging with Employees and Management to ensure Awareness and Compliance including running Morning Meetings
  • Oversee annual COR program Audits and Development of Corrective action plans
  • WCB Claim Management
  • PPE Inventory tracking
  • Emergency response and First Aid treatment
Requirements
  • 3 years’ experience with Health and Safety in the Construction/Manufacturing field preferred
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certification an asset
  • Understanding of the Alberta Labour Code and Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Computer competency with MS Office and experience with WCB claims
  • Professional and Approachable with excellent Communication skills
  • Strong Organizational and Multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong Interpersonal with the ability to manage Conflict resolution and Personal wellness concerns
  • Union experience an asset
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certification an asset
  • Advanced First Aid Certification an asset
