Qualifications

  • Valid Alberta Security Worker License required.
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in high-profile security.
  • 1+ year of customer service experience in commercial/hospital settings.
  • Occupational First Aid I certification is necessary.
  • PPCT and WHIMIS certifications are assets.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily team operations and enforce policies.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Security Supervisor for a high-profile commercial mall in Edmonton. Maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule and effectively leading, supervising and mentoring a team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a supervisor who is looking for the next step in their career.

Schedule: Mon - Fri

Timings: 8 am to 4 pm

The day-to-day

Supervise on-site team operations and enforce site policies

Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED support when required

Monitor and maintain security systems (alarms, cameras, access control); report deficiencies and coordinate repairs

Manage access requests and enforce standard operating procedures

Oversee CCTV monitoring across all sites and verify daily camera functionality

Schedule staff and manage daily operations to ensure coverage and efficiency

Coordinate onboarding and training for new employees

Monitor team performance and foster a positive, engaged work environment

Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting

Collaborate with the Operations Manager to communicate updates to the client

Here’s what you need:

Valid Alberta Security Worker License

Over 1 Year supervisor experience in high profile security

Over 1 Year customer service experience, such as commercial/hospital setting

Occupational First Aid I

PPCT (Asset)

WHIMIS Certification.

Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and mentoring a team.

Strong communicator who leads with empathy and a listening mindset.

Strong customer service skills

Post secondary education in law enforcement or security is an asset.

Advanced Computer Skills

Full-time availability with flexibility.

Preferred Experience:

A combination of hospitality and security supervision experience is ideal for this role.
