About the Unit

Yara Belle Plaine is a world class producer of nitrogen fertilizer. Yara International is a global fertilizer company, with operations in over 60 countries around the world. Yara's dynamic global presence and unique business model allows the company to be an industry shaper. Belle Plaine is in Saskatchewan, Canada 50 km west of Regina on highway #1.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the administration of site wide safety program
  • Compile safety statistics, monitor site activities, create month end reports, prepare Power Point presentations, maintain the site Safety Manual and report on site KPIs
  • Administer monthly procedure review process, procedure updates, organize technical/vendor documents, upload documents to SharePoint, update to current standards
  • Steward the completion status of safety system/safety related action items and incidents/cases
  • Greet and direct all visitors, handle incoming calls and inquiries
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, maintain action lists
  • Coordinate HESQ related events (i.e. Safety Days, mental health rooms)
  • Schedule, coordinate and track training that falls within the scope of HESQ as required
  • Deliver informal training to new employees on various site administrative systems
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Perform duties within various computer applications (i.e. Sharepoint, Synergi)
  • Provide support to other departments as needed
  • Complete Safety Inspections and WOC’s on the plant site
Profile
  • Strong computer skills within the Microsoft Office suite of tools are required
  • Ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Good initiative, attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Professional manner and skill in handling confidential matters.
  • Be able to provide a quick response or provide a solution to an emergent situation or dilemma.
Education & Experience
  • Business Diploma, Office Education Diploma or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated administrative skills through education or work experience.
  • Proficient on computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Share-Point, Office 365, SAP).
  • Sharepoint experience is an asset
  • OH&S experience is an asset.
