A leading coal producer in Sparwood is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice to work under the guidance of experienced mechanics. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of mining equipment in both shop and field environments. The ideal candidate is a registered apprentice with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $126,000 annually.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentices work alongside Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics in maintaining our fleet of mining equipment in a shop or field environment.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.
4x4 shift schedule consisting of days and nights.
$116,000 - $126,000 a year. Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre‑employment requirements of a pre‑employment drug screen and three professional references.
