Skagit River Steel & Recycling, Inc. under the ABC Recycling umbrella group of companies is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to be based out of our Burlington, WA location. Reporting to the General Manager, this person will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and problem diagnosis of mobile equipment (scrap metal handlers, forklifts, shears, balers, and trucks) including hydraulic and electrical systems. The successful candidate will be involved in dissembling and reassembling components such as engine and cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems and ordering the necessary materials and parts that will be required to complete repairs. Welding experience and a would be an asset. Most of all a good work ethic and a willingness to learn the keys to success in this role.
