About the Role

The HSE Coordinator supports the project and site teams by implementing and maintaining company health, safety, and environmental programs. This position ensures compliance with provincial regulations and internal standards, promotes a culture of safety, and assists with training and incident prevention. Location: Lower Mainland, Vancouver, BC

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Pagnotta’s Health, Safety & Environmental Management System (HSEMS) on assigned projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Lead or assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Deliver site orientations and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain all safety documentation, records, and reports in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Liaise with supervisors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and awareness.
  • Support return-to-work and modified duty programs.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably within high-rise, concrete, or infrastructure projects.
  • Valid CRSP, NCSO, or equivalent certification (or working toward).
  • Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and WorkSafeBC/AB/SK regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence positive safety culture on site.
  • Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
