A national cultural institution located in Quebec is seeking a Head, Finance Policies, Procedures and Budgeting to lead the development and implementation of finance-related policies. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in financial management and hold a relevant degree. Bilingualism in English and French is required. The Head, Finance Policies, Procedures and Budgeting develops and implements policies and procedures related to finance and procurement, develops and provides ongoing training and support to Museum staff regarding finance procedures and policies, assists with development and oversight of appropriate internal controls, and assists with the compilation and maintenance of the Museum’s budget and forecast models and data integrity.
This position is open to all Employees of the Canadian Museum of Nature and any members of the public who meet the qualifications below.
Completion of a University degree, in a field relevant to financial management. This can be a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Accounting, a master’s in Business Administration, or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
A professional accounting designation, or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
English and French are essential.
