Job summary

A leading Canadian coal producer is seeking an experienced Geoscientist or Engineer for groundwater planning and investigations. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years' experience in hydrogeology and strong analytical skills. This position offers a competitive salary of $106,000 - $131,000 per year, along with benefits including annual bonuses and a retirement package. Located in the beautiful Elk Valley of British Columbia, this role allows for outdoor work and a balanced work-life schedule.

Qualifications

  • Minimum seven years’ experience in hydrogeology, water quality monitoring, groundwater monitoring and studies or water management.
  • Knowledge of groundwater modelling, water and constituents load balance assessments and water quality management.
  • Experience supervising consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise hydrogeological and hydrological assessments and work programs.
  • Lead field investigations, data collection, inspections, and audits.
  • Prepare and submit technical reports to meet regulatory commitments.
