A leading utility company in Ottawa is seeking a Grid Modernization Engineer to lead the operational aspects of grid modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will oversee the implementation of new technologies, enhance existing processes, and ensure the efficient operation of the utility’s distribution grid. This position requires a Professional Engineer license in Ontario and an engineering degree. A hybrid work model is offered. The Grid Modernization Engineer plays a key role in offering both strategic and tactical guidance regarding data requirements, modeling, monitoring, control, and communication within the distribution system. The Grid Modernization Engineer takes the lead in supporting the operational facets of Grid Modernization and is responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing new technologies, as well as enhancing existing processes and equipment. These initiatives aim to facilitate the efficient operation of Hydro Ottawa's distribution grid and contribute to the strategic adoption of Grid Modernization solutions.
This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
