Job Purpose and Impact

The Grain Origination Representative will, with guidance, conduct grain origination activities and support the sale of various grain marketing solutions, and promote our advisory services. In this role, you will conduct face to face and over the phone sales with new and existing customers, assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions. This role will be supporting the Rosetown territory in Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities
  • Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships.
  • With guidance conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities.
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
  • Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Valid Canadian Driver's license in good standing
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Strong interest in agriculture
  • Previous sales experience
  • Experience using customer relationship management software
