Job description

Take Your Career to New Heights with Flair Airlines

We’re here to make air travel affordable for everyone. As Canada’s most reliable airline, we offer real value and continue to expand our network, increase flight frequencies, and introduce more services. We’re looking for passionate team members to help us in our mission to make air travel accessible for everyone.

Your Team

Join Flair’s Airports team, where real-time decision-making and operational oversight ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service across our network. As part of the Ground Operations Control Centre (GOCC), the Bilingual GOCC Coordinator (English/Spanish) is responsible for monitoring day-of-airport operations, supporting stations in real time, and maintaining operational integrity at the station level. Working closely with ground handling partners, this role ensures effective execution of below-the-wing activities, including baggage handling, gate readiness, and passenger flow management. The GOCC Coordinator must remain resourceful and steady under pressure, supporting operational excellence and a seamless passenger experience.

A Day In The Life
  • Act as the primary liaison between airport stations and central operations (OCC, Airports, Maintenance, Crew Scheduling).
  • Monitor real-time turnaround readiness at stations, escalating service delays (baggage, grooming, fueling, GSE availability) per SOP.
  • Track and escalate baggage issues, including late loads, bag-on-bag gaps, and tight connections.
  • Support accurate delay coding and provide clarification on station-controlled delays.
  • Coordinate immediate response to station-level IROPs (e.g., weather disruptions, diversions, equipment breakdowns).
  • Provide live updates to internal teams regarding operational readiness and turnaround metrics.
  • Monitor GOCC dashboard tools, flight tracking systems, and bag reconciliation reports to identify and resolve gaps.
  • Ensure daily communication with GOCC coordinators/manager for handovers, escalations, and performance concerns.
  • Participate in GOCC-driven performance routines, data entry, and reporting cadences (e.g., MBR tracking, ancillary reporting).
  • Support the Duty Officer in overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor day-of-operations flights, proactively identifying and communicating delays or schedule changes to SOCC channel.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly Operations Coordinator checklists to maintain operational consistency.
  • Analyze delay trends and turnaround data to propose improvements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and feedback loops.
  • Balance operational control with customer service focus.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Role

The preferred candidate should exemplify Flair's core values: honesty, efficiency, accountability, and respect, while demonstrating success in previous roles. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who possess:

  • Education:
    • Post-secondary education in aviation management, business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in station operations, ground handling, baggage services, or airport coordination.
    • Familiarity or certifications with ramp, gate, safety training, or airport vendor management are considered a strong asset.
    • Familiarity with operational tools and systems (flight tracking, bag reconciliation, delay coding).
    • Experience working in a high-pressure operation or network environment.
    • Adaptability and problem-solving in dynamic environments.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams, flight crews, airport authorities, and external service providers.
    • Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking stations and partners.
    • Effective teamwork, collaboration, and cross-functional coordination skills.
    • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and airline operations software.
    • Strong attention to detail, particularly in-flight documentation, delay coding, and regulatory compliance.
    • Understanding of on-time performance (OTP) metrics and the ability to analyze and report on delays.
    • Adaptability to shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational demands.
    • Commitment to operational excellence and passenger experience.
  • Requirements:
    • Clear Canadian Criminal Record Check (CCRC).
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
