Inline Group Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer-In-Training to join our team in Fort McMurray, AB. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Safety First, Always – Actively participate in site safety meetings, follow all site-specific safety requirements, and promote a strong safety culture where quality and compliance come first.
  • Grouting & Anchor Installation Oversight – Perform grout casting and sample handling, track grout consumption, verify anchor layout, spacing, and installation, and ensure all work follows approved methodologies, ITPs, and project specifications.
  • Inspection & Quality Control – Inspect rebar spacing, tie quality, and reinforcement mesh overlap/layering. Verify acceptable substrate and reinforcement temperatures prior to shotcrete application and document all inspections.
  • Monitoring, Testing & Verification – Conduct frequent temperature monitoring during non-ideal conditions and witness anchor pull testing, recording and documenting all results accurately.
  • Records, Reporting & Documentation – Compile Drill and Installation Records, track anchor bar types for critical and non-critical zones per Rev. 1 drawings (Titan and Paragon), and maintain complete, accurate project documentation.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experienced Professional – You have 3-5 years of industrial/civil materials testing experience at an intermediate to senior level. Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Must be eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with APEGA.
  • Technical Skills – Familiarity with materials testing procedures (ASTM, CSA), geotechnical design, and using geotechnical engineering software such as Geostudio, LPile, Geosystems, gINT, or SR-Wall is an asset.
  • Ready for the Job – Willing to work night shifts, hold a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel based on project demands. Mine driving experience is considered an asset.
  • Certification – CCIL accreditation in Type-C/HMA, Type-QF/QL, or CSA is an asset.
