Orano Canada is a leading producer of uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy!

This position will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Environmental and Geoscience professionals tasked with developing and managing programs that support all aspects of the mine life‑cycle. This is an intermediate position with the opportunity for professional growth through exposure to a wide variety of technical programs. We are looking for a curious, dedicated person who is interested in continuous improvement with safety and the environment in mind.

Responsibilities
  • Development and implementation of technical programs in areas such as:
  • Tailings and waste rock management (geochemical and geotechnical studies)
  • Mill process investigations / optimization
  • Groundwater program development, oversight and analysis
  • Environmental Monitoring
  • Assessment of existing and planned waste management facilities
  • Progressive Decommissioning
  • Assist in the preparation and communication of a variety of technical and regulatory documents for intended audiences including internal circulation, regulatory review, and rightsholders communication
  • Assist in the co-ordination and execution of technical field programs
  • Develop a sound knowledge of the company’s operations and the technical requirements imposed by legislation and various permits and licenses
  • Stay current with technical advancements in the geo‑environmental area as they relate to and are potentially applicable to implementation at Orano Canada’s sites
  • Promote and support Operational Excellence and OE culture
  • Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

Work Location & Schedule

  • Saskatoon Corporate Office with travel to McClean Lake Site as required
  • 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
