Are you a strong leader, passionate about growth, performance, and customer experience? We are looking for a General Sales Manager to lead all commercial activities in Eastern Canada. You will be responsible for the regional sales strategy, managing a team of over 30 people, and the sustainable growth of our multi-channel network.
Reporting to the Regional VP and working with your team and the various head office departments, you will ensure the conditions required to achieve not only sales objectives but also the development of the various business lines in the region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the regional sales strategy in alignment with national objectives.
- Mentor, mobilize, and develop a team of managers and sales representatives spread across multiple locations.
- Ensure the achievement (and exceeding) of sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Collaborate closely with operations to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
- Implement effective sales processes, performance tracking tools, and talent development initiatives.
- Manage regional sales budgets and ensure rigorous monitoring of performance indicators.
- Represent the region in national projects and actively contribute to the evolution of our sales strategy.
- Ensure the consistency of our brand image across all customer contact points.
Additional Tasks:
- Analyze regional market trends and identify new growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key clients and industry players.
- Conduct competitive intelligence to quickly adjust sales strategies.
- Participate in the development of local marketing campaigns in collaboration with the national marketing team.
- Implement ongoing training programs to strengthen the skills of the sales teams.
- Foster a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration within the region.
- Manage performance and human resources issues in collaboration with HR.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in the distribution sector (stores – branches).
- At least 5 years in a sales management position with proven results.
- Proven experience in managing large teams and multi-site operations.
- Strategic leadership, strong business acumen, and a strong ability to mobilize teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
- Strong listening, persuasion, and adaptability in demanding environments.
- A natural leader, a diplomatic communicator, and an inspiring mentor.
- Comfortable with matrix structures and growth management.
- Experience coaching high-performing teams.
