Rule Lines Telecommunications is hiring for full-time positions as Buried Service Wire Technicians and Laborers for the spring season in Ottawa. Candidates should be punctual team players with a valid driver's license. Training is paid and onsite, with immediate start dates available.
We are looking to fill numerous full time positions as Buried Service Wire (BSW) (Copper and Fiber) Technicians and Laborers for the upcoming 2022 spring season. All of this work is done outside in the elements. You must be punctual, a team player and motivated. Any telecommunications experience is an asset.
As a technician you will be responsible for the proper completion, testing and documentation of all services provided as well as ensure safety guidelines are adhered to on each site. The technician also assists the laborers at each site both manually as well as in an advisory role as to routes that wires will be buried on properties.
As a laborer you will be responsible for the hand work on sites ensuring the BSW is installed at proper depths in the ground and other surfaces. You will be required to use a spade shovel on grass areas and a concrete cutting saw when required. You may also be required to use a latter from time to time to execute your duties.
Valid Drivers License is required
Experience in any of the above mentioned job descriptions is considered an asset. This can include any manual labor position you've previously held and doesn't need to be directly related to Buried Service Wire. Both roles do include some manual labor however.
All training is paid and done onsite for both roles. A ground disturbance certification will have to be obtained prior to training .
