Job Title: Yard Laborer
Location: Saint John, NB
Shift/Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: $16.50 - $18.00/Hour

We are seeking Yard Laborers to join our client's team at their hardware store!

As a Yard Laborer, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth and efficient yard operations. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, assisting customers, and keeping the yard clean and orderly.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is physically fit, and has a strong work ethic. You'll collaborate with team members to ensure products are accessible and customers receive prompt, helpful service. A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, ensuring that products are displayed properly and safely
• Regularly inspect the yard for any hazards or safety concerns, addressing them promptly
• Load and unload products and materials, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper storage
• Assist in restocking shelves and displays, keeping track of inventory levels and notifying supervisors of low stock
• Greet and assist customers in locating products, providing knowledgeable recommendations and excellent customer service
• Answer customer inquiries and help resolve any issues or concerns they may have
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items, moving materials, and operating yard equipment
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, maintaining a positive and proactive attitude

Qualifications/Requirements

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive role, particularly in a retail or hardware environment, is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
• Basic communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
