Full Time Permanent Heavy Equipment Operator

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

FULL TIME PERMANENT HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

The Municipality of Glenboro South Cypress invites written applications for a full time permanent Heavy Equipment Operator. This position will consist of a forty (40) hour work week with overtime as applicable, starting March 2nd, 2026. Starting salary range between $25.00 - $28.00/hour with benefits commencing upon completion of probation.

Under the direction of the Public Works Supervisor, the successful applicant will support the daily operations of the municipality including operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment such as graders, gravel truck, dozer, loader, mower/sweeper, tractors and trucks. The applicant is expected to be reliable, flexible, and have a strong work ethic. The ability to work both independently and as a positive team player is essential in this role.

Candidates must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License, preferably Class 1 with air brake endorsement and be physically capable of manual labour.

The successful applicant will be required to present a copy of a current criminal record check and a recent abstract of their driver’s license. Applicants must also have a cell phone and CSA approved steel‑toed footwear.
