We are seeking a skilled and experienced Golf Course Mechanic to join our Turf Operation team at Glen Abbey Golf Club. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the operational efficiency of our golf course equipment, ensuring a top-tier experience for our members and guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf course equipment, including but not limited to mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical issues promptly.
  • Execute engine repairs, and demonstrate proficiency in reel grinding.
  • Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to ensure equipment is in optimal condition for daily course maintenance.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks efficiently, demonstrating a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, providing input for procurement while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Keep all tools and service equipment in safe and working order.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in engine repair, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and reel grinding.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
