Scheduling Requirements
  • Full‑Time Position available: 37.5‑40 hours of work per week
  • Available Monday‑Friday; flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred
  • Commit to a consistent, ongoing weekly schedule for the foreseeable future
  • Available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans
  • Provide companionship and light housekeeping to help a person stay at home
  • Prepare meals in accordance with the client and/or the family's requests; open to preparing different kinds of cuisine
  • Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
  • Assist clients in all activities of daily living, hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and so forth
  • Assist clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises
  • Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
  • Work within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practice safely and competently within the job description
  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
  • MUST have a valid driver’s license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily work
  • Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas of work; an asset if you can travel to rural/remote areas
  • MUST be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
  • PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/doctorate certification
  • Negative TB Test completed within the last year
  • Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
  • COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code
  • Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria REQUIRED; immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged
  • Valid Criminal Record Check completed within the last year
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed
  • Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team
  • Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset
