A community service organization in Victoria seeks a Frontline Supervisor to oversee operations and support vulnerable individuals in the community. The role involves planning and delegating tasks, ensuring safety, and maintaining effective communication within the team. Candidates should have supervisory experience in a social services context and strong leadership skills. This full-time, temporary position offers a competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package, emphasizing health and safety compliance. Join us in making a positive impact on lives that are vulnerable.
This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is committed to ending homelessness and improving the lives of the most vulnerable in our community. The Supportive Housing team values a relationship-based approach to working with clients who are currently vulnerably housed or experiencing homelessness, as well as those who have previously experienced housing vulnerability. We believe that every interaction matters. We are looking to recruit a Frontline Supervisor who brings an understanding of supporting a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment and appreciates the diverse needs of the people we serve.
As a Frontline Supervisor, you will work with your team by planning and assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, monitoring performance, and ensuring client needs are met. This role is key in maintaining effective communication between sites and your team, and in supporting follow-up with emergency services and others as needed. You will oversee frontline operations and ensure site safety throughout your shift.
We are looking for someone with a proven ability to respectfully supervise tasks and effectively manage the many responsibilities and decisions that arise during a shift. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with low income and complex health and housing needs.
You will promote a culture of health, safety, and well-being by ensuring compliance with site-specific guidelines and all relevant health and safety policies, standards, and regulations. Above all, we are looking for a motivated, committed individual who has a genuine desire to support people and meet them where they are at.
Note: This temporary position will continue until the return of the incumbent, or at the point the position is required to be posted permanently.
We offer a comprehensive package that includes paid time off; 100% employer-paid extended health and dental benefits, including for eligible dependents; access to telemedicine services through Sparrow; and our Employee Assistance Program, provided by Kii Health.
In compliance with OHS and WorkSafe regulations, staff at this site will be supplied with and required to wear a half-mask respirator while performing task-specific duties.
Upon hire, candidates may be eligible to transfer hours previously worked at other Community Social Services agencies under the Retention and Portability Memorandum of Agreement. Eligibility is subject to specific conditions and restrictions.
